Potty Training is an undefined art

I recommend you buy a good book at your local pet store and give lots of grace as they are learning.

Using "Pee-pee" pads that you can pick up at Walmart or pet stores help for the "in-between' times. Also purchasing small bite size treats, is a good way to keep them motivated.

As a family choose ONE phrase to associate "potty time".  Such as "Pee-pee" or "Outside".  Using more than one command will confuse them and prolong thier training experience.  When first starting the potty training process, a puppy will need to go out every 30 minutes.  Set your timer and take turns taking them out.  They will catch on, I promise.

I also recommend not allowing your new puppy onto carpets or rugs that you care about.  They will have accidents.  Keeping your puppy out of bedrooms and carpeted rooms until they are potty trained will help keep you sane.
